Lou brings 30 years of experience in leadership, management and organizational development to the Gabbett Group. He has been called one of the most effective seminar facilitators in the country. He is the author of “Right Side Up: Nine Forgotten Practices of World Class Communication.”

Lou designs and facilitates leadership, management, team building and mentoring programs -- a natural outgrowth of his research, organizational development and change management experience. A powerful part of what Lou brings to his corporate clients is his ability to research and create tailored case studies that allow senior managers to learn from their own company’s mistakes and triumphs in a classroom setting. He finds that in his all of his seminars, a large part of his time is spent teaching leaders how to communicate better. Lou’s background includes over 25 years as a trainer, as well as public service with the Federal Emergency management Agency (where he was a training officer) and Amtrak (where he was Technical Director of the Manpower Development Center). He has held executive positions with consulting and service organization in Washington and New York, as well as done agribusiness development in East Africa and the Middle East. Lou has also contributed to teams that build computer-driven simulation and self-instructional programs for both technical and management skills applications.

Lou earned a bachelor of sciences degree in political science and economics from Georgetown University, followed by graduate studies in law at Georgetown University Law Center, and in business administration at American University in Washington. He is a member of the Sterling Educational Network.
